Chalet Sports Site Security

  1. What is site security or an SSL?
SSL stands for secure sockets layer. It is a security protocol to enable Web sites to pass sensitive information securely in an encrypted format. It is based on the RSA Data Security's public-key cryptography.

You can recognize Web pages that use SSL because the URL says "https://" and the Web browser will show some type of lock or other icon to denote that the connection is secure.{information from www.about.com}.

  2. Who provides Chalet Sports Site Security?
Chalet Sports uses the security provided from GeoTrust to secure our transactions. GeoTrust is a trusted security partner with a proven track record for reliability, and quality. Proven to be the internet’s one million most-visited domains rely on GeoTrust SSL more than any other certificate authority.

  3. Do you see my credit card number?
No. Chalet Sports also employs an online merchant account and gateway through Frontline Processing to securely handle our online transactions. At any point of your transaction Frontline processing stores and hides your credit card number and sensitive information. So even our store managers and staff cannot access your entire credit card number.

  4. If you can’t see my credit card number how do you charge my card or provide refunds?
We rely on Frontline processing to both charge and refund money to your card.

  5. If I have more question about security from Chalet Sports, who do I contact?
